Tina’s “Shoe Lace Principle”

SHOELACE PICpath
is used to explain the simplicity of her approach to art and why she believes that anybody can learn it.
Can you remember who taught you how to tie your shoe laces?.
It was probably your Mother or at least someone a lot older who cared about you.  Before you were shown how to do it, you most likely had tried it yourself, perhaps putting the laces inside your shoe, making bows that fell apart or knots that you couldn’t open.
You would have done this, or something similar, because you had an idea how to do it, but lacked the “know how” just how to hold that lace in place, in order to make that “impossible” bow.  Now today, the only time you think about how to tie your shoe lace is when you are showing someone how to do it.
This is exactly how Tina’s approach to art, works. Once you are shown and you know where to place the circles to suit whatever character you are drawing, with a little practice, like tying your shoe lace, you will have it for life.
